As Well Wessex is a formation of various charities and CICs, there may be occasions where we share your personal details with one of these organisations for the benefit or support of your wellbeing, or alternatively, they may share details with us.

Photo and Media Consent:

Where we have obtained your consent to take and/or use your photograph or video imagery for promotional purposes, or we have your permission to photograph and display creative works that you have produced. Another example of when we use consent is when you have provided your permission for your wellbeing to be discussed with an individual that you have specifically named.

Social Sharing

If you use the social sharing buttons on our site, some information will be collected by the social platform and their cookies will remain on our website. We use encryption on our website to help prevent access to these cookies.

Contact Forms

When you submit information to us through the contact form it is sent to Well Wessex and a copy held on this website. This email is only accessed by Well Wessex staff, the website can only be accessed by Well Wessex staff (see, ‘Who Can See This Information’).

After responding to the email and resolving the enquiry, the email will be deleted. You are not added to any list or marketing campaign and your data is not retained unless this is explicitly requested by yourself in writing.

This includes people who are able to access the information, such as our website host. We have agreements with such third parties to ensure they do not access or make any use of your data without explicit instructions from us. How we keep your information secure

Our website uses encryption so that cookies and information entered on forms is secure. This is through an SSL certificate. You can see that our site is secure through your web browser, which will have a padlock or a green ‘SECURE’ message, and will show HTTPS at the beginning of our website address.

Mike Smith is our website developer through Digital Smithy. He provides website, security and social media support to Well Wessex. As the developer of our site he has access to all data on the site. As host of our website, Digital Smithy acts as a “data sub-processor”. This is a term used by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). This means that Digital Smithy provides our hosting, the space where our website and email are stored, and therefor has access to them. Both parties signed an agreement stating that Digital Smithy will not access or act upon any data relating to Well Wessex without our explicit consent. We have ensured that Digital Smithy abides by the GDPR and treats all our data and that of website users, members and email contacts in strict confidence.
